A: What do you think about meeting every Wednesday during lunch for our language exchange? B: That works for me. I'm interested in learning Korean words for food first. A: Good. What do you think about practicing them at the noodle shop near our school? B: I love that idea. Then I could order lunch in Korean by myself. A: In return, I'm interested in learning some everyday expressions in Spanish. B: Sure. I'll teach you how to greet people and start a short conversation. A: What do you think about recording each lesson so that we can review it later? B: Great. Let's start this Wednesday and record our first lesson.

The Korean idiom "sichimireul tteda" literally means "to remove the sichimi." Long ago, those who hunted with hawks tied a small tag called a sichimi into the tail feathers of their birds to show who owned them. Some people secretly took the tag off another person's hawk, making the bird look like their own. Today, the idiom describes a person who acts as if he or she knows nothing about something. For example, my younger sister has been asked three times this week who ate my cookies, and each time she has removed the sichimi with a smile.
