Skin diving
Skin diving is going underwater while holding your breath or while breathing air from special tanks. Diving with air tanks is called scuba diving. Many people enjoy exploring the beautiful world beneath the surface of rivers, lakes, and oceans. Skin divers like to explore, take underwater pictures and videos, catch fish, and collect shells and other objects.
Some people skin-dive in their work. They do important tasks while they are underwater. For example, some skin divers repair ships. Others bring up sunken objects that are worth a lot of money, and some help build and repair bridges. Scientists and students use scuba equipment to help them learn more about life and land underwater.
