In March, the back wall of our classroom was plain and gray. Nobody looked at it for long. One day, our class decided to change it together. We wanted to make a color wall of our feelings.
Each student chose one feeling and one color for it. Then we each painted a big paper square in that color. Under our squares, we put short cards about our choices. Our teacher, Ms. Byun, told us that there were no wrong colors.
Maya chose orange for excitement. On her card, she wrote that orange felt like the first day of a school trip. Taeo painted his square dark blue. He wanted to express the calm feeling of the night sky. Eunho mixed red and black paint for anger. His card said that anger felt hot and heavy.
I could not choose a color for several days. At last, I picked light green for hope. I wanted to show the new leaves outside our classroom window.
On Friday, we put all twenty-four squares on the wall. Then we read the cards together. Arin's square was light green, too, but she chose it for worry. To her, new leaves looked small and weak. Now I think that the same color can mean different things to different people. Our wall is not plain anymore, and I hope to add a new square next spring.

- worry 걱정 이 글에서는 명사(걱정). 동사로 쓰면 '걱정하다'(worry about …).
