Do you hear the music in the hallway? Five students from the dance club are practicing for the school festival. They are all moving their arms and legs together. Marco is leading them, and he is clapping his hands to the beat. A teacher is walking past them with a big box of books. She is not stopping them, and she is smiling at them!

What am I doing right now? I am writing this for our class website. Do you like rainy days? I usually do not like them, but I am enjoying this one. Our classroom is noisy and warm, and all my friends are here.

이 장의 낱말

hallway 복도 교실과 교실을 잇는 긴 통로. in the hallway = 복도에서.
like ~처럼, ~와 비슷하게 look like + 명사 = ~처럼 보이다. 동사 like(좋아하다)와 모양이 같다.
practice 연습하다 practice for + 행사 = ~을 위해 연습하다. -ing 꼴은 e 를 빼고 practicing.
rainy 비가 오는 rain(비)에 -y 를 붙인 말. a rainy day = 비 오는 날.
clap (손뼉을) 치다 clap one's hands = 손뼉을 치다. -ing 꼴은 p 를 한 번 더 써서 clapping.
raindrop 빗방울 rain(비)과 drop(방울)을 합친 말.
